Jin Ju - Curriculum vitae Il nome di Jin Ju si è fatto conoscere in ogni angolo del mondo dopo la trionfale performance in mondovisione davanti a 5000 spettatori presso la Sala Nervi di Città del Vaticano, dove ha suonato sette pianoforti d'epoca (dagli inizi del sec. XIX ai nostri giorni) per Sua Santità Benedetto XVI. Jin Ju - Bio Jin Ju has gained widespread prominence around the globe since the worldwide telecast of her performance at Sala Nervi in Vatican City. On that occasion she played seven period instruments (fortepianos and pianos from the late XVIII to the early XX centuries) for His Holiness Benedict XVI in front of a 5000-strong audience. Jin Ju has been the winner of important international contests (Romanian International Music Competition in Bucarest, China National Piano Competition, UNISA International Piano Competition, Theodor Leschetizky International Piano Competition in Taiwan, Beethoven Society Competition in London) and has been awarded prizes at the prestigious Cajkovskij (Moscow) and Reine Elisabeth (Brussels) competitions. Jin Ju has performed in the most celebrated concert halls of the five continents, such as in the Konzerthaus (Berlin and Vienna), the Bridgewater Hall (Manchester), the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, the Palais de Beaux Arts (Bruxelles), the Sala Verdi (Milano), the Teatro della Pergola (Florence) and so on. She has also performed in the Forbidden City (Beijing) and in all the major music halls of China. Jin Ju has collaborated as a soloist with numerous orchestras. They include the BBC Orchestra, the Belgian National Orchestra, the Orchestra Philarmonique de Lìege (Belgium), the Oslo Symphony Orchestra, the South Africa New Philharmonic, the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Macao Symphony Orchestra, the Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Auckland Philarmonia Orchestra, the China National Symphony Orchestra, the Russian State Symphony Orchestra, the Wallonia Royal Chamber Orchestra and many other. In 2008, China’s state television (CCTV) has produced an extensive documentary dedicated entirely to her life and art, which has been broadcasted on China’s main national channels. Jin Ju’s integral recording of Debussy’s Etudes presented in a CD produced by Frame (Italy: www.quadroframe.com) has received enthusiastic reviews by the most important critics of specialised journals. Her recording of the Yellow River Piano Concert together with the Macao Symphony Orchestra has reached wide circulation in China where it has been added among the “first 10 world successes of classical music”. Her interpretations of music by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and List have been recorded in a DVD published by Multigram Domo Video (www.domovideo.com). Jin Ju is a faculty member at the Central Conservatory in Beijing. She has taught at the Royal Northern Music College in Manchester and has held numerous Master Classes in China, Europe and the United States. Presently she is professor at the International Piano Academy of Imola.
